Art and photography is always a nice idea for a gift, isn't it? Both to give and to receive.

There are several different options for making and selling canvas prints and framed prints of your Instagram photos, which makes a wonderful, personal gift.

One of the services, Instacanvas, has just in time for the holidays announced that they are reintroducing their greeting cards.

  • Printed on heavy, beautiful stock

  • With a beautiful finish so that every image is brought to life

  • Perfect for the holidays, birthdays, or thank-you notes

  • With photographer credit on the back

  • Comes with envelopes so they are ready to send

  • Free shipping worldwide

First you'll need to post your image to Instagram, so that Instacanvas can print them out for you. [Here's my guide to using Instagram if you'd like to learn more about Instagram.]

To try out this service, I just added a few images that I've made on my iPhone and that I think work well as greeting cards. I've used a Christmas card and a card for the New Year that I created as illustrations for one of my iPhoneography courses. You can see what my Instacanvas looks like here. I'll report back here again when my greeting cards arrive.

This kind of service can provide a great way to create your own handmade greeting cards and gifts based on your Instagram photos, for the holidays, birthdays and for other events. You can even turn your Instagram photos into iPhone cases!
