On My Mind in May

Cherry blossom. Kungsträdgården, Stockholm..

Cherry blossoms hold deep significance as they represent the ephemeral and transformative nature of spring. Fluttering delicately in the warm breeze, their pale pink petals creating a soft carpet on the ground. The air is filled with a symphony of birdsong. Nature's canvas paints a picture of renewal and growth as the season shifts, reminding us of the beauty in every fleeting moment.

  • The Ebb & Flow of Creativity: I’m feeling creatively energised by Kyle T. Webster's Spring 2024 collection of brushes for Adobe Fresco! The set includes bright multicolor brushes, fresh foliage brushes, new inking tools, a new drawing brush, and a plenty of textures. Have a look at what's new in the latest release of Adobe Fresco.

  • On my Palette: pink, chartreuse, lime green and sky blue.

  • On the Stage: Kulturbärarna - Dramaten. What exactly happens in the cloakroom during a performance? It turns out to be quite a performance!. A talkative cloakroom attendant spends time sewing buttons onto jackets and answering forgotten phones. Soon, an array of cultural figures in the cloakroom come to life. After ten years with his acclaimed one-man show Sufflören, Andreas T. Olsson presents a new melancomic performance.

  • Artist: Leonora Carrington The Lost Surrealist [film]

  • Artist: Jacqueline Marval. Fauvism Feminism Flamboyance. Marval is one of the distinctive French artists who, in the early 1900s, found her place in the art world and who exhibited her works side by side with iconic artists such as Henri Matisse, Picasso and Maurice Denis. She was acclaimed by critics and participated in countless exhibitions in France and internationally. In 1912, poet and art critic Guillaume Apollinaire described her as “one of the most remarkable artists of our time.” –  Millesgården.
